Outback tourism operators to receive boost
Regional tourism operators in Outback Queensland have received a $ 3 million boost in funding as part of the Unite and Recover for Queensland Jobs Plan.
With many regional tourism operators impacted by COVID-19 pandemic, $ 3 million has been set aside specifically for outback tourism from the Queensland Government’s $25 million Queensland Tourism Icons Program to support tourism and jobs.
The Outback Queensland Tourism Association and Tourism and Events Queensland will provide advice on how to best allocate the funding to help some of the biggest employers in the tourism industry.
