Brisbane welcomes its first River to Bay fast boat

Queensland’s newest tourism experience, River to Bay adventure tours from Brisbane to Moreton Bay has welcomed its first tourists.

Travelling up to 45 knots (85km) an hour, the boats will connect passengers from multiple departure points in Brisbane with Moreton Bay and will showcase the bay and its cultural heritage.

With two full day tours on offer; the Straddie Safari or the Best of Moreton Bay, visitors can experience snorkelling, bushwalking and discover historic ruins, shipwrecks, deserted beaches, endangered shorebirds and distinctive native wildlife all in one day directly from the city.

The $2.1 million project, delivered in partnership with the Queensland Government is set to generate tens of thousands of extra tourists to Brisbane.
