Australian Expedition Vehicles

Townsville company Australian Expedition Vehicles (AEV) is a 100% Indigenous owned and operated business specialising in vehicle modifications, servicing both international and domestic markets.

AEV has in-house expertise and experience to undertake a wide range of engineering and workshop modifications on all vehicles—from military to recreational.

The company prides itself on helping its local community by employing local James Cook University (JCU) engineering graduates and veterans.

The Queensland Government was proud to support AEV by providing $125,639 through the Manufacturing Hubs Grant Program (MHGP) to partially fund the purchase of a Vehico Steering Robot, allowing better testing of electronic stability control systems.

$13.5 million is available through the MHGP to assist eligible businesses such as AEV to become more productive and create the jobs of the future. Up to $4.5 million is available for each manufacturing hub to build the advanced manufacturing capability of the Cairns, Townsville and Rockhampton regions.

AEV has also been appointed the NQ Representative for Haulmark Trailers working on the ADF fleet of trailers located in Townsville.
