The Queensland Government's extensive public consultation on Queen's Wharf Brisbane began as far back as May 2013 when a comprehensive community engagement process commenced including:

What type of engagement activities have been undertaken by the state?
Since the project's inception in 2012, the QWB project team has continued to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, keeping them informed of the project, its timelines and to provide specific information when requested. Is the state engaging with the Indigenous community?
The DITID along with the DATSIP continues to engage with the Neville Bonner family representatives. DATSIP, DITID and DBC are also engaging with the Traditional Owners, Queensland Elders and Indigenous community on the project.
Will DBC engage with the community?
DBC is already successfully engaging with industry and the community and will continue to do so throughout the project.
