Tourism Development Projects Division
Tourism Development Projects Division (TDPD) is a specialised work unit within DITID that achieves economic development outcomes through delivery of Integrated Resort Developments (IRD), Global Tourism Hubs (GTH) and other initiatives supported by Government.
TDPD has well established networks with industry, state government agencies and local governments and the team works collaboratively with stakeholders and departmental colleagues to progress multi-year development projects from concept to operation.
TDPD manages Queen's Wharf Brisbane, the State’s Global Tourism Hub program including Tropical North Queensland and Gold Coast, Adventure and Nature Based Tourism including Wangetti Trail, Minjerribah Futures and other redevelopment projects including Browne Park.
Tourism Development Projects is assisting with a feasibility study to investigate upgrading Browne Park, Rockhampton.
Ecotourism development across Queensland has the potential to showcase the State’s natural and cultural values and deliver a sustainable experience for visitors and locals.
A $3.6B Integrated Resort Development that will put Brisbane firmly on the map as a global tourism, leisure and entertainment destination.
Global Tourism Hubs (GTH) are a strategy for Queensland that delivers world class tourism infrastructure.
