Community consultation

The Queensland Government's community engagement on the Tropical North Global Tourism Hub commenced in December 2017.

Overview

As the Queensland Government moves into the next stage of the Tropical North Queensland Global Tourism Hub (GTH), we are seeking feedback from the community on what they think about the sketch ideas. We would like the Tropical North GTH to be quintessentially Cairns and a place that both locals and tourists will want to visit.

To assist, the Queensland Government has prepared some sample sketch ideas to help developers shape their thinking and to facilitate further community discussion.

Note: Sketches are for illustrative purposes only and NOT final design.

Your feedback will be sent to the project’s proponents to help them deliver an iconic GTH that is representative of the Tropical North - relaxed, laid back, outdoor with the underlying themes of the reef, rainforest and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
